The Bristol-Myers Squibb and AstraZeneca (B-MS/AZ) Alliance
invite you to set your own agenda at one of four regional 'FORWARD
thinking in type 2 diabetes' meetings being held in September 2009.
The topics covered at these interactive meetings will be shaped by
the attendees during initial 'hot topics' workshops. These can be
issues which directly affect you and your patients or areas you
would like to discuss with your peers. Our expert faculty will then
choose three of the 'hot topics' to present in more detail. This
workshop approach will create dynamic meetings that provide expert
discussion and presentations on topics covering the management of
type 2 diabetes.
Following these attendee-led, collaborative regional meetings,
you will have the opportunity to shape the future of the FORWARD
programme and roll out your own bespoke agenda to primary care
colleagues at a local level. The B-MS/AZ Alliance will fully
support the organisation and running of local meetings, with a
dedicated online FORWARD resource for HCPs (full details will be
discussed at the regional meetings), help in ensuring that local
speaker agreements are set up and that appropriate funding is
available. Attendance at one of the four regional meetings will
inform and prepare you for a role as a local meetings speaker and,
as such, will be taken into consideration when your speaker
agreement is put in place.
The meetings will contain educational content, open discussion,
promotional elements and are aimed at diabetologists, specialist
diabetes nurses and GPs with an interest in diabetes.
